Jenza: Scaling Youth Mobility with Impact
Scaling a business after a merger is rarely about strategy alone. In my experience, the real work lies beneath the surface, in culture, trust, decision-making, and leadership alignment.
Following a major merger, the opportunity for growth was significant — but so were the risks.
The Challenge
Jenza Group is a leader in the youth mobility sector (€9m revenue) operating well-known brands including Bunac, Jenza and USIT. Following a merger, the newly formed business faced some challenges
strong brand identity,
cultural differences,
unclear roles,
trust gaps
fragmented strategies.
Integration was critical: without alignment at the top, scaling would stall.
The Approach
Working closely with the Chairman, CEO, and leadership team, I supported the organisation through a tailored Scaling with Impact journey:
The work included:
Leadership Sprint to align culture and strategy after the merger.
Embodiment workshops to uncover hidden team dynamics.
Leadership coaching at CEO and team level.
Accountability frameworks with annual, quarterly, and weekly structures to drive progress.
Turning points came from the Leadership Sprint and Embodiment workshops which were the foundations to build trust across the teams and enable the build one team culture.
The Results: From Fragmentation to One Leadership Platform
As a leadership team, they experienced:
Improved decision-making and accountability at leadership level.
A stronger, unified culture — “one team, one platform.”
Empowered leaders driving growth in products, people, and markets.
Senior leadership able to step away from the day to day activities to focus on new opportunities
What changed wasn’t just structure or process — it was how leaders related, decided, and led together.
In Their Words
“Finding Flow in Your Teams was an excellent exercise for us as a newly merged team. We came away with an aligned vision, goals, and a clear set of actions which we were able to implement quickly due to the high level of team buy-in. We achieved our objective: to work more effectively as a team to better grow our global business. Whilst the work was intense sometimes, the team enjoyed being challenged to think differently and everyone was given a chance to contribute, review and reflect. Elaine was an incisive and thought-provoking facilitator, ensuring every minute added real value. I thoroughly recommend her.”
Why This Matters
For the Jenza Group, Scaling with Impact meant moving from fragmented cultures and unclear strategy to a strong, aligned leadership platform — capable of scaling globally with confidence.
For me, this work reinforced a consistent truth: sustainable growth doesn’t start with systems alone. It starts with leadership alignment, trust, and the ability to think and decide well together.
